June 1 21:00

Krasnoyarsk celebrated the 23rd anniversary of the orphanage-lyceum named after Khazret Sovmen, and the head of the city, Sergei Vereshchagin, came to congratulate the students on the holiday.

The mayor presented the children with books for extracurricular reading, and also congratulated them on Children’s Day and the beginning of the summer holidays.

“For me, the Lyceum House is one of the places in Krasnoyarsk where you return with pleasure, where you feel kindness, sincerity, and openness. This is precisely what is inherent in a real family, which was created by the Honorary Citizen of the city, our fellow countryman Khazret Medzhidovich Sovmen,” noted Sergei Vereshchagin.

The city administration recalled that the institution is funded by the Khazret Sovmen Charitable Foundation and has a unique infrastructure. According to the mayor's office, there are no analogues to this orphanage-lyceum in Russia.

Over 23 years of work, 175 people became its graduates.
