Lukashenko, following Putin, began to threaten Armenia with the “Ukrainian scenario”

Alexander Lukashenko, who calls himself the president of Belarus, said that Armenian citizens should be “very careful” so as not to “repeat what happened in Ukraine.” He said this on May 31 after the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union in Astana, as reported by the Belarusian agency BELTA.

Lukashenko emphasized that there are now many statements being made in Armenia in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will take place on June 7. For the same reason, in his opinion, the country is initiating conversations about a possible exit from the EAEU and a course towards joining the European Union.

“Of course, they are stirring it up for elections. But the leadership of Armenia is doing this in vain,” said the self-proclaimed president of Belarus.

He added that “in Ukraine, this is exactly how it all started.” “So that they, the Armenians, who have just emerged from one war, do not get into a difficult situation because of this. There is no need to rush. You just need to think, you need to be wise people,” Lukashenko said.

The self-proclaimed president believes that certain circles also benefit from what is happening in Armenia now, and hinted at the Europeans.

“We've arrived [представители ЕС на саммит в Армении в начале мая]they gathered someone there and promised a bunch of things. Although we did not hear these promises, there were only condemnations: “Belarus and Russia are such and such.” Of course, we are imperfect, what can I say. But look at yourself,” Lukashenko noted.
