Zelensky, appeal to Trump in the American press. “That's the priority for us and the big, big challenge”

Ukraine urgently needs anti-ballistic missiles from the United States to respond to an increasing number of attacks by Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview broadcast on Sunday by the American channel CBS.
“This is the priority for us and the big, big challenge. We had a very difficult, hard winter. Russia attacked our energy infrastructure, water supply, schools with a lot of ballistic missiles. It was, it was very difficult. Now we see a big deficit,” said the Ukrainian leader, quoted by Politico.
Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he sent a letter to the White House and the US Congress.
“I sent a letter to the White House and Congress of the United States,” he said, “and I hope they will understand and respond. And this is very important. We need to increase production. I know all companies in the United States, huge companies, great companies, but only the United States can produce such a number,” added the president of Ukraine.
Ukraine helped in the Middle East when asked, Zelensky says
Volodymyr Zelenskiy acknowledged that the US war against Iran has strained US resources and diverted public attention from the conflict in Ukraine. He wants increased production to address what he described as a “big gap” between Russia's and Ukraine's ballistic and anti-ballistic capabilities.
The leader from Kiev also stated that his country provided assistance in the Middle East when it received requests in this regard.
“When we received messages of help in the Middle East to defend some bases with American soldiers, as well as the infrastructure of some countries in the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, etc., and we came with our groups, we sent more than 200 of our experts,” President Zelenskiy said.
