Storms are coming across the country. Where they will strike first

The weather has become unstable in several regions of the country since Sunday, and meteorologists say that the extreme phenomena will intensify and expand in the coming days.
On Sunday, on the first day of Pentecost, showers are expected, torrential in some places, especially in the eastern half of the country, Mihai Timu, the meteorologist on duty at the ANM, told Realitatea.
“Such manifestations are still expected today, at least in the second part of the day, in the eastern half of the country, and we mean the east of Transylvania, Moldova, a large part of Muntenia, Dobrogea. In the second part of the day, we expect occasional showers, possibly with a torrential character,” declared Timu.
In the west and south-west of the country there will be nicer weather and higher temperatures for this period. The highest thermal values are expected in Oltenia, where the mercury in thermometers is expected to rise to 29-30 degrees Celsius.
However, meteorologists warn that the situation will change from Monday, when the atmospheric instability will extend to the entire country and will intensify until Tuesday evening.
“From tomorrow and until Tuesday evening, unfortunately, let's talk about an extension of the phenomena of instability and even an intensification of them. Practically, from tomorrow, from the second part of the day until Tuesday evening, in all regions we will experience manifestations of instability: storms, more significant amounts of water, especially in the west, northwest, center, in the hills and mountains, hail and storms”, Timu said.
According to the ANM forecast, the rains will be torrential, and the amounts of water will be significant (in isolated cases reaching up to 30…40 l/m2), especially in the western, central, hill and mountain areas.
The wind will blow weak and moderate, but it will present short-term temporary intensifications during the rains and during the day in the southwestern half of the country, with gusts of 45…50 km/h.
The thermal regime will be characterized by maximum temperatures generally between 19 and 28 degrees, while the minimums during the night will be between 8 and 17 degrees.
