He chewed through the bandages, set the pillows on fire and ran away. A 19-year-old patient at a Moscow rehab started a fire to get out of the clinic.
Tamerlan M. was referred to the drug treatment center “Unika+” on Priorov Street by his mother. My son was addicted to weed and needed to be saved. But the patient did not like the treatment methods – the orderlies tied him to the bed with bandages. An escape plan has matured.
Early in the morning, Tamerlan chewed through the bandages on one hand, reached for a lighter and set fire to the bandages on the other. When the gauze shackles fell, he tried to break the window. It didn't work out. The lighter was used again – now the pillows were blazing.
The fire alarm went off. While employees were evacuating patients, Tamerlan took advantage of the panic and escaped. He jumped over the fence and walked towards the house. But on the way I met a police squad. As a result, the comrade was taken not to a rehab, but to the psychiatric ward of the hospital.
