Marina Savniychuk has publicly criticized Mykhailo Fedorov for his recent comments advocating for elections during wartime, suggesting that he only remembered the topic after losing his ministerial position. She pointed out that as recently as late 2025, Fedorov had asserted there were no legal grounds for online elections and raised concerns about the risk of Russian interference.
Following his dismissal from office, however, Fedorov’s position appears to have changed. Savniychuk described this shift as ‘political amnesia’ and emphasized that conducting elections during a state of war is not feasible under current legislation. She also warned against the notion of digital voting through the ‘Diia’ app, citing risks related to ballot secrecy, security, and equal access for citizens.
