Vladimir Putin denies allegations about a Russian drone in Romania. He mentioned Poland


On the night from Thursday to Friday A Russian drone flew into Romanian airspace and crashed on the roof of an apartment block in Galacz near the border with Ukraine, causing a fire and injuring two people.

On Friday evening, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke on this matter. He first stated that he learned about the incident in Romania only after several hours, and then refuted the allegations that the unmanned aircraft belonged to Russia. — No one can say where a plane came from until it's examined. Mrs. von der Leyen was not in Romania and did not examine the remains of this drone, said the Russian president, quoted by the Russian state news agency TASS.

According to Friday's Facebook post by Romanian President Nicusor Dan, this was the most serious incident of this type so far since the beginning of Russia's war against Ukraine. Romania informed its allies and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about the incident. The head of the alliance wrote on Platform X about “absolute solidarity” with the Romanian ally and readiness to defend every inch of NATO territory.
