He first stated that he learned about the incident in Romania only after several hours, and then refuted the allegations that the unmanned aircraft belonged to Russia. — No one can say where a plane came from until it's examined. Mrs. von der Leyen was not in Romania and did not examine the remains of this drone, said the Russian president, quoted by the Russian state news agency TASS.
He then tried to shift the blame for the incident to Kiev, arguing that Ukrainian military drones were violating the airspace of other countries. — After all, we know that Ukrainian drones flew over Finland, Poland and somewhere in the Baltic countries. According to Friday's Facebook post by Romanian President Nicusor Dan, this was the most serious incident of this type so far since the beginning of Russia's war against Ukraine.
