His former international and midfielder DinamoIonuț Lupescu (57 years old), commented on the situation of Alexandru Pop, the striker who will be absent from the derby with FCSB due to the fact that he has a wedding scheduled this weekend.

The 'Dogs' legend criticized the player's decision and felt that the situation could have been avoided if Pop had handled the situation with more professionalism.

Lupescu accuses Alex Pop's decision to marry at the same time as the decisive barrier: “Lack of professionalism”

Zeljko Kopic will not be able to rely on Alex Pop for the UEFA Conference League play-off final against FCSB after the forward scheduled his wedding on the same weekend as the match. Ionuț Lupescu commented on the situation and spoke about a lack of professionalism on the part of the player.

It's an unfortunate case, but a little unprofessional, because if you want to do this you look at the competition calendar and take all the options into account. Probably the club didn't even know that there was a wedding then, I have no idea, I don't know.”

Ionuț Lupescu: “No Marius Baciu is a coach at FCSB”

The former Romanian international also made an ironic reference to the situation at FCSB, suggesting that Marius Baciu is not, in reality, the one leading the team, but that the important decisions come from elsewhere, alluding to boss Gigi Becali.

“I still think that FCSB has a good squad, the coach has been stable for years, he hasn't changed for a long time, he has been there for a long time and he doesn't change. No, no, it's not Marius Baciu, the coach doesn't change there. Shock can only be created by the real trainer out there“, said Lupescu, on the show “Fotbal Club” from Digi Sport.

I think that a derby always has no favorite, especially since I don't think there are that big differences, even if FCSB had a bad season and played in the play-out, it doesn't mean that they are so weak. For me, however, it remains a nebula how the 4th place plays a play-off with the 8th place for the European cups, after half of their points are deducted…

Naturally, I want Dinamo to go and not FCSB, but we will see tomorrow who is better. Being considered the host, even if it is not our stadium, it will be the supporters who have pushed the team a lot and could be an important asset.
