Changes in energy regulations. Electricity bills will be easier

The solutions introduced by deregulation include simplifying electricity bills for household consumers. This includes: so that customers receive clear information about the most important components of the bill and the total amount to be paid on the first page of the document. The regulations also provide for changing the basic form of exchanging correspondence with energy companies to electronic form, while allowing correspondence to continue in paper form if the recipient so wishes.

The Parliament passed deregulation in the field of energy
245 MPs voted for the adoption of the Act on amending certain acts in order to deregulate the energy sector, 182 were against and 3 abstained. Now the bill will go to the Senate.
Electricity bills are not everything. The amendment also provides for liberalization of settlements for heat supplied directly to industry. The idea is to waive the obligation to apply a tariff for heat when it is supplied solely for technological needs without being transferred to households. The Act also provides for waiving the obligation to hold a license for heat production if heat is transferred to an industrial enterprise from a newly constructed source.

The change in regulations also concerns the issue of investments in heating companies, including: facilitating the calculation of indicators needed to finance investments in zero-emission heat sources.
Last August, President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the energy deregulation act, which was supposed to introduce some of the solutions proposed in the current project, in particular the simplification of energy bills.
