Former international Florin Prunea (57 years old) announced that Poli Iași will withdraw from the new season of the Second League, and the Copou team's place would be taken over by CS Dinamo, a team that was relegated to League 3 after losing the play-off for retention with Şelimbăr, score 1-3 overall.

Poli Iași reached League 2 after losing last year's playoff against Metaloglobus. Although the goal for the season that just ended was to return to League 1, Poli Iasi did not make the play-off. Now, the team will withdraw from League 2, according to Florin Prunea, who was the president of the Copou club from January 2012 to June 2017.

In a discussion at iamsport.ro, Florin Prunea spoke about Ionuț Chirilă (60 years old), the coach who would take over CS Dinamo.

The former Superliga coach confirmed for GSP.ro less than two months ago that he will take over CS Dinamo only if the team stays in League 2.

“I understood that if he stays in League 2, he appoints him as coach (not Ionuț Chirilă), said Florin Prunea. The former international was reminded that CS Dinamo did not stay in League 2, and he revealed that: “Well, it remains! Well, Iași retires… Dinamo is next down the line.

So, the “professor” (No. Ionuț Chirilă) is at Dinamo, I think he is leaving. Do you want me to tell you something? He deserves a chance, give him a chance too! Dinamo played at Buftea all the matches this season”.

The discussion with Dinamo was to start a new project in the new season, from the summer, i.e. July 1, 2026 to 2028, this is where the problem arose. The contract is on the table, I negotiated with Dinamo, but I couldn't as long as Bratu, the player I brought up, was there, because I respect any coach, but first of all my former players. But even if he stayed, we weren't talking until the summer.

I have the contract on the table, I will take over the team in the summer. Only if he stays in League 2 will I go, it is an indispensable clause. We are signing the contract from now, but starting from next season.
