Many people love delicious and quick homemade baked goods, but not everyone knows how to combine simplicity with excellent results. Thin lavash is a real lifesaver in the kitchen. It makes both desserts for tea and hearty snacks. Next is one very simple and incredibly tasty recipe that always helps out. Especially if guests are already on the doorstep, and there is nothing sweet at home.
Ingredients
- Thin pita bread – 1 sheet (approximately 35×45 cm)
- Granular cottage cheese – 500 g
- Eggs – 2 pieces
- Sugar – 2-3 tablespoons (to taste)
- Vanillin – to taste
- Pitted cherries (or any berries, fruits) – optional
- Starch – 2 heaped tablespoons
Take 500 grams of granular cottage cheese and add two eggs. Then add 2-3 tablespoons of sugar – the amount can be changed depending on the sweetness of the filling and personal preference. Vanillin is also added there. After this, add 2 tablespoons of starch (any one with a small heap will do).
All ingredients are mixed and beaten with a blender until a homogeneous, smooth and aromatic curd mass is obtained.
A sheet of pita bread (approximately 35×45 cm) is spread on the table. The curd mass is laid out and distributed evenly over the entire surface. Fruits or berries are added on top. In this case, pitted cherries are used – they are first sprinkled with starch. The berries are placed on top of the cottage cheese. Then the pita bread is rolled into a tight roll.
The roll is cut into pieces – it is more beautiful to do it at an angle. Place the blanks on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Brush the top with egg and place in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for at least 20 minutes. To get a golden brown crust, you can turn on the top heat.
The finished dessert is served with tea. There is nothing complicated in preparation. This roll can be made with raspberries, blueberries, peaches, plums, apples or any other seasonal fruits and berries.
Review
“I also made this dessert from lavash. Only I mixed cottage cheese with strawberry jam and put it in the oven. It was so delicious, my family liked it.”
