In view of the next season, one that could bring, after nine years of waiting, the return to the European cups, Dinamo has already started to secure the contracts of some important players from the first “11”.
After Raul Opruț recently extended his deal until 2029, the club management is now preparing to activate the extension option in the contract of Danny Armstrong, one of the most consistent footballers of the “dogs” in the current season.

The 28-year-old Scot arrived at Dinamo in the summer of 2025, free of contract, after parting with Kilmarnock, and then signed a deal valid for two seasons, with an option for another. According to GSP information, Dynamo officials are determined to activate the clause and to continue the collaboration with the player formed at the academy of Wolves, a team for which he did not tick a single minute in the seniors, however.
Armstrong made a big impact in the offense of Zeljko Kopic's formation and quickly became one of the main players. The footballer also spent his career at Raith Rovers, Ross County or Dunfermline Athletic collected 6 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season.
His most important performance came in the regular season round, even against arch rival FCSB. Armstrong then scored a hat-trick in a spectacular 4-3 victory at the National Arenasuccess by which Dinamo ended a long series without a win in the derbies with the red-blues, Friday night's opponents on the “Arc de Triumf”, which will decide the last participant from Romania in the Conference League preliminaries.
According to the specialized portal Transfermarkt, Danny Armstrong is currently valued at 900,000 euros. The Scot's highest market value was reached in the summer of 2024, when he was valued at €1.5 million.
