AS Monaco sacked Pocognoli. And here comes Filipe Luis!
The former technician of Flamengo, with whom he also won the Copa Libertadores, suddenly turned it towards Ligue 1. Mercato specialist Fabrizio Romano announced this very morning that the Brazilian has agreed with AS Monaco and is to sign a contract until June 30, 2028.
Decisive in his choice was the sports director of the team from the Principality, compatriot Thiago Scuro. This to and sacked Sebastien Pocognoli, although the Belgian was tied to the club for one more season. The information is also confirmed by the daily newspaper Nice-Matin.
Pocognoli came to AS Monaco after the sacking of Adi Hütter in October. The 38-year-old coach has won 16 of the 38 games he has managed from the bench.
The team were in contention for a place in the Champions League next season, but suffered back-to-back defeats against Lille and Strasbourg, missing the target.

Last night, after Crystal Palace won the trophy (1-0 against Rayo Vallecano), Oliver Glasner officially announced his departure from the management of the London team.
The 51-year-old manager, who won the Palace Cup and then the English Super Cup in two years and three months, also has the advantage of being Austrian. The “pharmacists” have already started negotiations with the coach who is also on AC Milan's list.
