As part of their cooperation, both countries have, among others: maximize the capabilities of the Forward Land Forces on NATO's eastern flank, and establish a group to counteract the risk of hostile use of drones. The 14 projects covered by the treaty include: jointly developing the weapons of the future. “Based on a strong bilateral partnership in the fields of air defense and advanced weapons systems, Poland and the United Kingdom will jointly become European leaders in the production and development of the next generation of missile weapons,” says the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in a statement.

Poland and Great Britain. A long list of joint projects
According to information from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Poland and Great Britain will also “jointly increase their capabilities in the field of air-to-air weapons, ground-based air defense systems and land capabilities.”
The treaty was signed on Wednesday in London by the prime ministers of both countries: Donald Tusk and Keir Starmer. The projects included cooperation to strengthen Europe's eastern flank in the face of the threat from Russia. “Thanks to the strategic land partnership, Poland and the United Kingdom will maximize the capabilities of the Forward Land Forces to ensure credible deterrence on NATO's eastern flank,” says the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
The next project mentioned is counteracting the harmful use of drones by criminals and hostile state entities. Both countries will jointly establish a task force to counter the growing risk of hostile use of drones. It will bring together civilian agencies from Poland and the United Kingdom to exchange operational knowledge, jointly develop tools to detect and limit the effects of drones, and accelerate the implementation of innovative technologies.

Another project is the joint Action Plan on Illegal Migration. “We will implement a comprehensive Joint Action Plan to intensify the fight against human smuggling and illegal migration,” according to the document.
The other joint projects mentioned include: deepening cooperation between defense industries, protection of our seas and cooperation in the field of maritime security, protection of Poland and the United Kingdom against cyberattacks, coordination of sanctions policy, combating hybrid threats, counteracting foreign interference and manipulation in the information space.
