The average earnings in Orlen are already over 12 thousand. zloty. He got more from the company's cash register than when he worked all year round
The average monthly salary in the Orlen group exceeded PLN 12,000 gross in 2024. Salaries, however, did not grow as fast as the average salaries in the economy. Attention is drawn to the payment for Daniel Obajtek, who was employed in the company only until February, but received more from her money than when he worked all year round.
In the annual reports published by Orlen, we find information about average monthly gross salary in a group, which amounted to PLN 12,110 gross last year
And it included, among others I pay basic, bonuses, rewards, lump sums and overtime. It was thus 5.18% higher than that in 2023, with an average annual inflation of 3.6%.
Wages in Orlen are growing more slowly than in the economy
However, we refer the average data of the Orlen Group to the average salary in the national economy, which is in the level of the Central Statistical Office of PLN 8,181.72 gross. Last year, on average, an average of 48% more earned in Orlen than in the economy, which is a result of worse than that in 2023, when the group's employees earned on average 60% more.
The wage growth dynamics cannot keep up with the increase in the average salary in the economy, which last year increased nominally by as much as 14.3%. Even taking into account the average annual inflation of 3.6%, the real wage increase was as much as 9.5%. In Orlen, taking into account the price increase in the inflation basket, real wages in 2024 went up to really 1.5%.
Employees themselves complained about increasing salary increases in 2024, not following inflation, who, according to the agreement on 2025 (concluded with the previous management) remuneration.
There are more and more employees in Orlen
In the entire Orlen group in 2024, 67,809 employees were employed against 66,554 employees in 2023. It was a 1.9%increase, which was dictated, as the concern indicates, increasing the scale of activity in areas including Energy, sales and computer science and the takeover of Doppler (Network of Fuel Station in Austria).
The group had the most employees in Poland (57 242), then in the Czech Republic (5 885) and Lithuania (2 407). In Austria, Germany of Norway, Hungary and other countries, a total of 2,275 people had employment in the ORLEN Group. Most of the group's crew were men (72.2%). This percentage for women looked a little better in the case of the highest management, i.e. directors directly reporting to the board, where women were responsible for nearly 32% of the staff.
The management board will feed
Since we mentioned the board, let's provide the remuneration of its most important members, remembering that in 2024 an exchange took place in connection with the change in power in Poland. The State Treasury has 49.9% of shares in the ORLEN Group shareholding and decides about the composition of the company's bodies. In total, there were 23 people on the payroll of board members in 2024 in 2023, who left the company during last year. All in all paid the salary of the Management Board In 2024, they consumed PLN 11.05 million against PLN 14.6 million in 2023.
Daniel Obajtek, the former president of Orlen earned 651 thousand until February 5. zloty. Ireneusz Fąfara, or his successor, received PLN 1 million from the company from April 11. The new president is also entitled to a potential payment bonus (shareholders' consent) in the amount of another PLN 1 million (PLN 998 thousand). It should also be mentioned that Daniel Obajtek z the title of termination of the employment relationship and the ban on competition He received an additional PLN 1.05 million from Orlen in 2024.
Together from the group's cash register, he collected PLN 1.7 million, or about 30 thousand. PLN more than his paid remuneration throughout 2023 to the former president, a bonus of PLN 1.25 million passed near the nose, due to the lack of discharge. All were members of the Orlen board who left in 2024, received a total of PLN 10.14 million from the termination of employment and the ban on competition.
Finally, let us add that the budget for the remuneration of the remaining key management staff in 2024 amounted to a total of PLN 610 million, which means its increase by 14% yaws. Most (PLN 530.7 million) consumed the salaries of subsidiaries of the Orlen Group. In total, the ORLEN Group spent PLN 13.15 billion on all employee benefits in 2024, which is nearly 7% more yaws.
The statistics about the remuneration pyramid may also be interesting. Among the companies from the group, the lowest remuneration of a person who earns the best -earning remuneration for the median was the company Orlen Serwis, where it was 3.9. This means that a person who earns the best in the company earned nearly 4 times more than the median salary. In turn, the highest ratio concerned Orlen himself, where the best earning employee received almost 16.5 times more than the median in the company.
