May 28 12:50

More and more older Russians are choosing an active lifestyle, engaging in sports, creativity and volunteering. The development of these areas is facilitated by the “Active Longevity” program, which is being implemented in all regions of the country with the support of the national project “Family”.

By the end of 2025, 14.9 million older people are involved in regional active longevity programs. The most popular area remains physical activity and sports. About 8.65 million older people exercise regularly and attend workouts. Among the most popular activities are “silver” fitness, yoga, Pilates, body ballet, Nordic walking, swimming, as well as dance styles – from oriental dances to Zumba and Latin American programs.

About 4.65 million more people attend cultural, leisure and creative projects. Older people take part in theatrical productions, literary clubs, painting, music, photography and handicrafts.

Interest also remains in educational programs. About 1.2 million participants take foreign language courses, master computer and mobile literacy, and study literature and history.

In addition, almost 395 thousand older Russians joined the volunteer movement. They participate in charity events, help organize social and patriotic events, and engage in social and “silver” volunteering.

Let us remind you that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory women over 55 years of age and men over 60 years of age can become participants in the movement. You can find out the schedule, choose classes to suit your interests and register on the digital services platform. Recording is also available by calling the hotline 122, at MFC offices and city libraries.
