Cătălin Cîrjan (23 years old), Dinamo's captain, prefaced the tie with FCSB, the decisive duel for qualification in the Conference League preliminaries.
Friday evening, at 20:30, Dinamo, as the 4th place in the play-off, and FCSB, as the best play-out team among those with a UEFA license, will face each other for participation in the Conference League preliminaries.
At the press conference preceding the derby, captain Cătălin Cîrjan participated, along with coach Zeljko Kopic. Dinamo's midfielder showed confidence that his team will get the ticket for the first participation in the European cups after 9 years.
Dinamo's captain prefaces the tie with FCSB: “If we play our game, we will win”
“It's definitely the most important game. We've come to this point, we wanted to be here, to fight for European cups. I think we deserve to be here, we can't wait for the game.
You can't really feel the emotions right now, but tomorrow will definitely be a little different. Everyone is talking about this match, I think it is the most important since I came to Dinamo and there will definitely be emotions. But like I said, I think we're ready, we'll give it our all and I'm sure it'll be fine.
I will think about what I will tell my colleagues, I still have time tonight to think. I don't think I need to tell them many things, we all know the importance of this match, we all really want to achieve our goal and I will see tomorrow, in the dressing room, how it will be”, said Cîrjan about the match.
Regarding the FCSB, the Dynamo captain said that “we know them very well, they are a very good team, but I want us to think about ourselves. If we go on the pitch and do our possession game, create chances and be effective in front of the goal, I think we will win this match. We didn't care who we were going to play, the important thing was that we were good.”

Cîrjan admitted that he is disappointed with the location of the party. As the National Arena is unavailable during this period, the match will take place at the Arc de Triumf stadium, with approximately 7,000 people in the stands.
“Sorry, we were actually talking and thinking that if we played at the Arena there would be a lot of spectators, but for sure the atmosphere will be very nice. Our supporters are incredible, with us every time and we hope to make them happy tomorrow.
I received a lot of messages, unfortunately I couldn't help a lot of people. To support us on TV if I can't make it. I saw that they are still looking for tickets, I hope they find more.
Let those who are at the stadium be with us, and those who can't come support us from home, and at the end let's enjoy together. We are waiting for them in Europe when there is the Conference League tour,” he said.
Dinamo's captain was also asked if they would celebrate with their colleague Alexandru Popwho has scheduled his wedding this weekend.
“We would have liked to be with Alex, unfortunately we can't. We'll call him after the match and we'll talk on the phone. Right now we were talking to the boys, we want to give him a present too, to make him happy”, answered Cîrjan.
