Ukraine launches a “Logistics Lockdown” to strike the Russian rear. Fedorov revealed details

Ukraine is launching a separate “Logistics Lockdown” program, which should scale up middle strikes (medium-range strikes against targets behind enemy lines) and systematically destroy Russian capabilities at operational depth. Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov announced this on Telegram on May 27.

“Our task is to further increase pressure on the Russians in the rear and deprive them of the opportunity to conduct active assault operations,” the minister wrote.

He also noted that recently Ukraine has been gradually seizing the initiative at the front, and the enemy’s losses during the advance are constantly growing.

“If in October the enemy lost 67 military personnel per 1 km² of advance, then in April – already 179. Russia is suffering record losses: more than 35 thousand killed or seriously wounded military personnel monthly – and we continue to increase the pace. We have also quadrupled the destruction of enemy logistics, warehouses, equipment, command posts and supply routes at operational depth,” the minister emphasized.

According to him, a pattern is already noticeable in military dashboards: the more Russian logistics are destroyed, the fewer assault actions take place on the battle line.

“One of the key factors in this change was strategic decisions to scale middle strike capabilities. After the shutdown of Starlink for the Russians, this became another factor in Ukraine’s technological advantage on the battlefield,” Fedorov emphasized.

As part of the first stage of the program, the Ministry of Defense, together with the General Staff, allocated an additional 5 billion UAH directly to the military for the purchase of modern middle strike weapons.

According to the head of the defense department, these funds will be received by the most effective brigades and units in the “eBali” system – teams that specialize in destroying the enemy at operational depth and demonstrate the best results in this direction.

The second stage of the program is also starting in parallel – centralized tenders for the purchase of a large batch of middle strike products. The minister added that open competitions should ensure speed, scaling of production, competition between producers and transparent use of public funds.

“Already in the summer, the results of centralized middle strike purchases will become noticeable at the front. The enemy, even at a great distance from the battle line, will no longer feel safe,” the minister concluded.
