A resident of Novosibirsk issued more than 300 loans in the amount of over 6 million rubles in 18 months. After that, he himself turned to the bailiffs with a complaint against the collectors, but then stopped communicating. This was announced by Viktor Khudyakov, head of the department of control, supervision and permitting work of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Novosibirsk region.
According to a department representative, the man probably took out new loans to cover the previous ones. This scheme worked until debts and interest began to grow faster than new income.
“We have anti-leaders. We recorded the fact that a citizen registered over 300 obligations. He probably took out new loans to cover the previous ones, until the scheme stopped working due to interest,” said Viktor Khudyakov.
When the new loans no longer helped pay off the debts, and late fines increased, the man turned to the bailiffs with a complaint about the intrusiveness of the collectors. However, after submitting the application, communication with him was interrupted.
The department noted that bailiffs are often approached by citizens who have accumulated 40–50 overdue loans in different organizations. At the same time, some debtors are trying not to resolve the issue of payments, but to immediately stop any communication with creditors through the intervention of the service.
Bailiffs advise debtors not to hide, but to try to negotiate. Collection agencies in some cases are ready to compromise: change the payment schedule, cancel fines or fix the amount of the debt.
