With Guardiola at the helm, Manchester City finished 2nd in the Premier League. The “Citizens” battled Arsenal for the title, but Arteta's men won their first championship after a 22-year hiatus.
Maresca last coached Chelsea, a club he left at the end of 2025. There he averaged 1.97 points per game, 55 wins, 16 draws and 21 defeats.
He has only been 'main' at Leicester before his experience on the Chelsea bench.

From August 2020 to May 2021 he was the coach of the U23 team, and from July 2022 to June 2023 he was Guardiola's assistant. Together they won the “triple” championship – FA Cup – Champions League in 2023, and Pep once called him “one of the best coaches in the world”.
The Italian coach promoted Leicester to the Premier League in 2023-2024, and after taking over at Chelsea he won the Conference League and the Club World Championship in his first season in blue (2024-2025).
