Romania is going through a meteorological period with significant temperature variations and precipitation. The West, Northwest and Center of the country are facing an unusually cold air for the first part of October, while the south and east benefit from gentle temperatures, close to the normal ones for this period of the year.

In Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, Transylvania and in the north of Moldova, the clouds will cover the sky, bringing rain on extended areas. In the evening, the rainfall will extend to Oltenia, southern Moldova, partially Muntenia and isolated Dobrogea, so that in the southwest, in the afternoon, more significant amounts of water, up to 20-25 liters per square meter are possible.

At high altitudes, over 1,800 meters, the meteorologists forecast the lapoviță and even passing snow. The wind will be felt especially on the mountain ridges, but also in Bărăgan and Dobrogea, with mild intensifications, the rest being weak to moderate.

The maximum thermal values will vary significantly from one region to another, with 9 degrees in Maramureș and up to 22 degrees in the Danube meadow. The minimum temperatures will generally fall between 4 and 12 degrees Celsius, the highest being expected in the coastal area.

The weather in Bucharest

The capital will know a slight heating, approaching the normal values for this period. The sky will be partially cloudy throughout the day, with clouds and possible weak rains during the night. The wind will have low intensities, and the maximum temperature will be around 19 degrees, with a minimal between 7 and 9 degrees.

At the mountain

The weather conditions will be specific to the beginning of winter, especially at high altitudes, where, besides the lapovița and the passing snow, the wind will be felt on the ridges.
