Parents' expenses for graduation in grades 9 and 11 increased by about 15% over the year. This is stated in the SuperJob study.
According to the service, this year the holiday and outfits for parents of ninth-graders will cost an average of 32-33 thousand rubles. For parents of 11th grade graduates, the amount is higher, about 44–46 thousand rubles. The average graduation fee for 9th grade students was 15 thousand rubles. For eleventh graders the amount reached 22 thousand rubles. Over the year, graduation costs for 9th grade have risen by 2 thousand rubles, and for 11th grade by 3 thousand rubles.
A separate part of the costs falls on clothing and shoes. On average in Russia, an outfit for a son in 9th grade costs about 18.1 thousand rubles, for a daughter 17 thousand rubles. In 11th grade, expenses are higher. Parents spend about 22.1 thousand rubles on boys, and 23.5 thousand rubles on girls.
At the same time, some families refuse the holiday. 12% of parents reported that there would be no prom in the 9th grade. Among the parents of eleventh graders, 7% were like this. Some parents also don't buy special holiday clothes. More often than not, ninth-graders are left without a new outfit. In 11th grade, new clothes are bought more often, especially for graduates.
The survey was conducted from April 20 to May 17, 2026. 3,000 parents of 9th and 11th grade graduates from different regions of Russia took part in it.
