Russia announces attacks on targets in Kiev. “They spilled the cup of bitterness”

The Kremlin argues that this is a response to Ukrainian attacks on the civilian population, which “were the final straw.” In the statement, Russia mentions the attack on Starobielsk in the occupied Luhansk Oblast, which took place on the night of May 21-22. The building of the Starobielski Vocational College and the dormitory were destroyed. According to the Russian authorities, at least 10 people were killed and dozens were injured. Moscow claims that the attack was carried out by Ukrainian drones, but the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denies accusations of hitting civilian infrastructure.

In its latest statement, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the target of “systematic attacks” will be “defense industry facilities in Kiev, including specific places where unmanned aerial vehicles are designed, manufactured, programmed and prepared for use.”

“These drones are used by the regime in Kiev with the support of NATO specialists responsible for supplying components, providing intelligence data and targeting targets,” reads a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian ministry also issued a warning to foreigners staying in the Ukrainian capital. “Taking into account that the above-mentioned facilities are scattered throughout Kiev, we warn citizens of foreign countries, including staff of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations, of the need to leave the city as soon as possible, and we warn residents of the capital of Ukraine not to approach the facilities of the military and administrative infrastructure of the regime [Wołodymyra] Zelensky,” the Russian ministry wrote.
