There is no water at all in the heat of +36°C for residents of the city of Kotovo, Volgograd region: people suffer from intestinal infections, crops are dying due to drought, there is nothing to wash children with and water animals.
Problems with water in the city have been going on for 6 years, local residents complain: the water supply constantly breaks down, there is no necessary equipment, one accident follows another.
Sometimes black liquid comes out of the taps, more often it simply doesn’t exist. Due to the quality of the water, locals suffer from intestinal infections. A week ago the water was turned off again, while it was almost 40 degrees outside. And today the water tanker hasn’t even reached the private sector area of Serino (northwestern part of the city of Kotovo).
Due to the lack of watering, the gardens are “burning”, there is nothing to wash children and water animals. According to local resident Elena, water is delivered to them irregularly and without warning, and the water itself is dirty.
At the same time, more than 600 million rubles were allocated to replace the water supply system – the head of the Kotovsky municipal district spoke about this last year.
