In Krasnoyarsk, an additional traffic light was installed at the Tikhye Zoryi interchange; it will control the flow of cars leaving from Pashenny. The head of the city, Sergei Vereshchagin, announced this in his telegram channel.
The equipment has already been installed and is now being connected. The traffic light is scheduled to be launched this week. In the morning it will work in automatic mode, and the rest of the time – using a call button for pedestrians.
The decision to install a traffic light was made by the administration together with local residents in order to improve the traffic situation when exiting Lesnikov Street to the transport ring. Let us remind you that earlier, for the same purposes, a dedicated lane was removed from the Nikolaevsky Bridge towards the Oktyabrsky District.
“Traffic light regulation, according to preliminary estimates, can help reduce congestion by about another 20%,” the mayor explained.
Sergei Vereshchagin instructed specialists to continue operational monitoring of the interchange and, if necessary, adjust the operating mode of the installed traffic light.
