Coal miners of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk also actively participated in the general cleanup. Traditionally, the company’s employees clean up the memorial to internationalist soldiers on Poklonnaya Hill – they wash the monument and pedestal, and remove garbage from the surrounding area. The miners admit: for them, caring for the monument is more than improvement, it is an opportunity to pay tribute to those who at different times courageously fulfilled their military duty. The coal miners also landscaped the area near their administrative building in the historical center of Krasnoyarsk.

In the cities of responsibility of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk – Borodino and Sharypovo – not only current employees of coal mining enterprises, but also veterans, traditionally joined the cleanup days. Together they restore order at administrative buildings, memorial sites and monuments. In Borodino, for example, for several years in a row, a friendly team of veterans has been putting things in order on the Memory Alley.

“We worked very fruitfully, clearing the Alley area of last year’s leaves and grass,” notes Lyubov Kanakhina, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Borodino Mine. — A large team of us gathered – 23 people. And the sunny weather helped us, it created a great mood. It’s nice to know that thanks to our contribution the city is becoming cleaner and more comfortable!”

Nazarovo miners are also not standing aside: as soon as good weather sets in, they will restore order in the Berezovaya Roshcha eco-park.
