“We have received a report from our intelligence services: we have information, including from American and European partners, about an attack using the Oreshnik being prepared by the Russians. We are checking this information. We see signs of preparations for a combined attack on the territory of Ukraine, in particular on Kiev, using various types of weapons,” Zelensky wrote in the Telegram messenger.

According to the President of Ukraine, the above-mentioned medium-range weapons may be used in such an attack. The Ukrainian head of state appealed to his society to consciously respond to air alert signals on Saturday evening. “Russian madness truly knows no limits, so please take care of your lives – use the shelters,” he added.
Zelensky pointed out to his allies that the use of weapons such as the Oreshnik and Russia's prolongation of the war also set a global precedent for other potential aggressors.
“If Russia is allowed to destroy lives on such a scale, no agreement will stop aggression and attacks by other similar regimes based on hatred. We count on the world's reaction and we hope that it will be a preventive reaction, not after the fact – we need to put pressure on Moscow not to expand the war,” he stressed.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is preparing its air defense as much as possible and will respond with fully justified retaliation to any Russian attack.
