“One of the scariest nights.” Lithuanian minister reacts after Russia's attack on Kyiv

Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Kestutis Budrys commented on these dramatic attacks.
We have just experienced one of the most terrible nights in recent years in Ukraine, when Russia deliberately shelled Kiev, as well as the Dnieper, Kharkiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Sumy and Khmelnytsky Oblast, using hundreds of drones and missiles
— wrote Kestutis Budrys on the x platform.
The Lithuanian Foreign Minister attacks Russia for its attacks on Ukraine. “Total denial of humanity”
The head of Lithuanian diplomacy noted that Russia targeted the civilian population: residential buildings, shopping malls, markets, dormitories, schools, universities and warehouses.
Continuously committing war crimes against Ukraine is not a sign of strength, on the contrary, it is a hidden sign of the weakness and desperation of the aggressor.
– he noted in his entry.
It is difficult to find the right words to respond to such a complete denial of humanity. However, Ukraine does not need our words, only our actions
– Kestutis Budrys emphasized, assuring that the tools needed to stop Russian aggression exist.
Failure to fully utilize them is a clear incentive to continue the war
– with these words the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs concluded his entry.
The Ukrainian Air Force said earlier on Sunday that the Russian army used 600 drones and 90 missiles, including Oreshnik missiles, in a massive overnight attack on Kiev and the Kiev region. This is the third time this Russian intermediate-range missile (IRBM) system has been used. Previously, the Oreshnik was used in attacks on Ukraine in November 2024 and January 2026.
