“I think it is possible that, in the next few hours, the world will receive good news,” Rubio told reporters in New Delhi.
Rubio, who is on his first visit to India, indicated that the agreement under development will respond to US concerns regarding the Strait of Hormuz, which has been effectively blocked by Iran since the beginning of the war launched by the United States and Israel on February 28, writes Agerpres.
The deal would also launch a “process that can finally get us to where the president wants us to be — a world that no longer has to fear or worry about an Iranian nuclear weapon.”he added.
His remarks came after US President Donald Trump said a proposal that included opening the Strait of Hormuz was “broadly negotiated”.
“An agreement was widely negotiatedpending completion, between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran and various other countries”Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Saturday.
