CSL Ștefănești has achieved a historic performance and will perform next season for the first time in League 2 in Romania.
The team from Ilfove is the fourth team that has achieved promotion in the second echelon of Romanian football, after Poli Timișoara, Râmnicu Vâlcea and Cetatea Suceava have already made the step there.
The promotion of CSL Ștefănești came after Sunday's clear success, score 4-0 against Agricola Borcea, after which the team finished first in Group B, with 29 points, tied with Popești Leordeni. Andrei Spînu (9), Remus Bobocea (34), Marius Dumitru (44, 84) were the scorers for the formation near Bucharest.
CSL Ștefăneşti is in League 2 for the first time
The tie was made according to the number of points obtained by the two teams at the end of the regular season. Popeștiul finished in second place in Series 3, with 45 points, while CSL Ștefănești was second in Series 4, with 49 points, and therefore now, at the end, had the advantage.

The formation prepared by Laurentiu Tudor was established in 2019 and has now made the step from League 3 to League 2;

The last team to advance to the second echelon will be decided after the play-off between the best teams in second place: Gura Humorului Falcons, Popești-Leordeni SC, Minerul Lupeni and Alba Iulia Union;
