In Krasnoyarsk region police uncovered the theft of 5 thousand rubles from the account of a Divnogorsk pensioner.

A 70-year-old local resident filed a statement about the incident to the police duty station. She said that she tried to top up her phone account at one of the city's ATMs. Due to poor eyesight, she could not figure it out on her own and asked for help from a stranger.

He responded to the request and told me to dial the PIN code, after which the money was credited to the account. At that moment, he distracted the pensioner, and she did not notice how he withdrew five thousand rubles», told the police.

The attacker was quickly found. He turned out to be a 41-year-old local resident. The man had already been convicted of theft. During the investigation, he compensated for the damage caused. The police reported that the investigation of the criminal case initiated under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft), completed. The accused is awaiting trial in pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Krasnoyarsk.
