Şelimbăr is trying to save a complicated season

Şelimbăr is going through one of the most difficult seasons since the promotion to League 2, achieved in the summer of 2021. The Sibiu team finished the regular season in 17th place out of 22, with 20 points accumulated in 21 stages.

In the play-out, the team was assigned to Group B and had a somewhat more solid performance, managing to collect 10 points in the seven games played, after three wins and a draw. However, Şelimbăr only finished in 6th place, a position that sent it to the play-off to avoid relegation.

CS Tunari and Olimpia Satu Mare were directly relegated from the same group. For the Sibiu, the duel with CS Dinamo represents the chance to continue the adventure in League 2 for the sixth consecutive season.

CS Dinamo, close to immediate relegation

On the other hand, CS Dinamo is in its first ever season in League 2, after the promotion achieved last summer. However, the people of Bucharest had great difficulties adapting to the level of the second echelon.

The “Dogs” finished the regular season in 19th place, with only 16 points, and in the play-out they were assigned to Group A. There they achieved three wins in the seven games and collected nine more points, enough to avoid direct relegation and reach this stage.

In Group A, Campulung Muscel and Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț were directly relegated. For CS Dinamo, the match in Cisnădie can decide whether the project started just a few years ago will continue in League 2 or will immediately return to League 3.

The referee of the match comes from the Superliga

The Central Commission of Referees has delegated for this game a brigade with experience at the level of the first echelon. In the center will be Viorel Flueran, a referee from Craiova who is part of the Superligi team.

In the current season, he led several important games in the first league, including play-off and play-out games, but also the duel between CFR Cluj and Rapid from the Romanian Cup groups.

Flueran will be helped with the two touches by Ștefan Dumitrache and Daniel Lar, while Marius Bădoiu will be the reserve.
