Deniz Undav and his teammates will be looking to retain the title they won following their 4-2 win over then-Ligue 3 side Arminia Bielefeld in last season's Berlin Cup final. Die Schwaben also won the trophy in the 1996/97, 1985/86, 1957/58 and 1953/54 seasons.

Bayern Munich complete a historic league season under Vincent Kompany, finishing with a record 122 goals scored and 89 points. In the last Bundesliga match, they crushed Koln 5-1.

Stuttgart also strengthened their Champions League position by finishing fourth. Sebastian Hoenes' side have looked good in recent weeks, including a win against Bayer Leverkusen (3-1) and a 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt.

The hottest duel will be between Harry Kane and Jeff Chabot. Kane has 5 goals in the competition so far and was in exceptional form against Stuttgart, he scored a hat-trick against them in October 2024 and two goals in December 2025.

In the championship, Vincent Kompany's team prevailed 5-0 in the round of the season, and in return Bayern won 4-2, at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Bayern play a cup final for the first time since the 2019/20 season, when they won against Bayer Leverkusen (4-2). 20th title in this competition, a record that stands.

I have not played in a German final yet, although I have played in other finals. I won my first FA Cup in England, when the team had not won this trophy for 40 years. A win here is always a historic moment. Stuttgart managed this last year. This season, the whole team has been talking about this cup since day one. This shows how much Bayern value this competition. We want to bring her back to Munich.

– Vincent Kompany, Bayern coach

We need exceptional performance. That's what we set out to do. You always need that when you play against Bayern Munich. Now we shook hands, Atakan Karazor said this a year ago, and it felt again when we reached the final in a rather convincing way. It's the best game we can have, against one of the best teams in Europe. My background probably makes this match a little more special. But we are facing the team that has dominated so impressively in recent decades. That gives you extra motivation, a lot of things come together here and I can't wait for this moment.
