If you often wake up with a feeling of tightness in the back of your head, feel your collar pulling or your upper back aching, don’t rush to buy massage devices. There is a simpler and more affordable solution.
What to do:
- Sit on the edge of the bed or stand up straight.
- Lower your shoulders down and squeeze your shoulder blades slightly together.
- Slowly tilt your head towards your right shoulder, helping to create a slight tension with your palm.
- Hold for 10 seconds. Return to the center and repeat the movement to the left shoulder.
- Do 3 reps on each side.
This movement helps stretch the trapezius muscles and relieve morning spasms, improve blood flow to the brain after a long sleep, reduce pressure on the cervical vertebrae, and also relax the thoracic region and prepare the body for the working day.
It is best to do the practice immediately after waking up. It will only take 1-2 minutes, but will help you feel lighter and freer all day.
