Ukraine and the Russian Federation conducted a new exchange of prisoners. Who returned home?


185 troops returned home, said the head of state. Almost all of them (183) are ordinary and sergeants, two officers. Among the liberated are fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Service.

20 civilians are also exchanged with defenders, the president said. He noted that among those who fell into another exchange, the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, as well as the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Most were captured since 2022.



Liberated military personnel defended the country in Lugansk, Donetsk, Kharkov, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson, Kiev, Sumy and Chernihiv directions, noted in the coordination headquarters on the issues of treating prisoners of war on Facebook.

The youngest liberated defender turned 26 years old, the oldest is 59 years old.
