In the Achinsk district, parents of eighth-graders from one of the schools complained about an excursion for children.
According to the OSA TV channel, the class was taken to a sausage shop and a slaughterhouse. If the first part of the excursion seemed to children educational, the visit to the slaughterhouse caused a shock. According to parents, children were asked to take pictures in front of the butchered carcasses.
The administration of the Achinsk district said that it had already requested an official explanation from the school.
“We believe that such events should be age-appropriate and conducted only with psychological safety in mind. Before the inspection is completed, it is premature to evaluate the actions of teachers, but it is obvious that the situation requires analysis and adjustment of approaches. Based on the results of the inspection, management decisions will be made,” the TV channel quotes a comment from the authorities.
