Ever since the mid-week press conference, Gheorghe Hagi announced that he will summon 33 names for the action in June, going to have 3 solutions for each position, except for the position of left defender, where he chose 4 names.
Also, as he had announced since that conference, the group presented today is not a complete one, these names will be joined by the footballers involved in the Conference League play-off, from Dinamo, FCSB and FC Botoșani.

As Hagi had announced since Wednesday, the players will come to the national team for this first action in three installments: some on May 23, some on May 26-27, others on May 30 – June 1.
It will be the first contact with them, then, from September onwards, the real competition will begin. Now I wanted as many players as possible to get to know me and my staff, to see how we think, what our philosophy is, how we want to play football.
I've been around the country, I've been around the country more. I went to 17 matches in the country and one abroad, at Răzvan Marin, who played a final. I saw him and talked to him.
We represent Romania and we must have, apart from heart, love and honor, a very good football, which will be a winner. We have to accept this, for the player and the team to do both phases, both offensively, possession, and defensively, pressure. Know how to attack and know how to defend. This is my philosophy: the player should participate in both phases, be reactive, the team as well. And, of course, to end up winning
– Gică Hagi, Romania's national coach
