Bayern's highest-paid player Jamal Musiala smashed an Audi RS E-tron GT Performance and a Volkswagen Golf.
The accident happened on the A8 highway and the culprit was Jamal Musiala. The Bayern player was behind the wheel, and next to him, his sister. They were speeding down the road at 194 km/h, towards Salzburg, when they hit a Volkswagen Golf in which a resident doctor and his girlfriend were.
Both cars were completely destroyed
Fortunately for them, Musiala and his sister escaped unharmed. Only those in the Gulf sustained minor injuries. Instead, the cars were completely destroyed. According to the Bild tabloid, which quotes the Munich daily Tageszeitungf, the damages were assessed by the insurers at 200,000 euros!
For Musiala, no big deal. Even during the 2024-2025 season, Bayern made him the second highest paid player in the squad, after Harry Kane, increasing his salary to 24 million euros per season. What hurt the German international the most was that he was left without a driver's license.
Jamal Musiala: “It was a trauma. I accepted my punishment”
Even more curious is that the accident happened in April 2025, but for a year, no one knew about it outside of the parties involved, the police who worked on the case and the club. Contacted by Bild, Musiala confirmed: “It's true, I provoked him myself.
I take full responsibility for everything that happened and I am grateful that no one was harmed by my negligence. I accepted the punishment I received, namely the withdrawal of my driver's license”.
Musiala admitted that everything that happened “was a trauma for me and it took me a while to process it. I repeat, today I'm just happy that no one was hurt. The club and the Federation helped me as much as they could”.
