The Ministry of Health stated that the doctor will not have any contact with Czech citizens and therefore does not pose any threat to society. According to the Ministry of Health, it is not known whether the man transported to the Czech Republic was infected with the virus or not.
According to available information, the man has no symptoms. Until they occur, he will only be observed in the hospital. He will not be treated and no tests will be performed.
If symptoms of virus infection appear, the hospital will send samples to a specialist laboratory in Berlin, which will confirm the diagnosis within a few hours.
According to Czech offices, there is no risk of spreading the dangerous disease among the Czech society. The virus is not transmitted through the air, but only through direct contact with the body fluids of an infected person.
