The area of the fire at the Platan Research Institute increased to 2.3 thousand square meters. The fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth floors are on fire. People who leaned out of the windows to breathe disappeared in thick black smoke.
The fire is being extinguished by 72 rescuers and 24 pieces of equipment, including lifting mechanisms. The work is complicated by high temperatures and dense smoke.
