The media wrote that Iran could transfer enriched uranium to Russia. In the USA they commented

The United States does not yet plan to transfer enriched uranium from Iran to the aggressor country Russia. This was stated by US Vice President J.D. Vance during a conversation with reporters on May 19, which was broadcast by the White House YouTube channel.

Al Arabiya reported on May 18, citing sources, that Iran has submitted an updated proposal to the United States through Pakistan for a possible deal involving the transfer of enriched uranium.

According to the interlocutors, in the document Tehran allegedly proposes a long-term phased truce and a political framework for a future agreement that would allow “saving face” for all parties.

One of the key points, according to sources, is the issue of the nuclear program: Iran allegedly agrees to its long-term “freeze” instead of complete destruction, and is also ready to transfer approximately 400 kg of highly enriched uranium to Russia.

The publication also states that Iran is asking for gradual easing of sanctions and economic incentives instead of monetary compensation. Separately, a phased and controlled opening of the Strait of Hormuz is proposed with the participation of regional mediators, in particular Pakistan and Oman.

However, in response to a journalist’s question about the likely transfer of enriched uranium as part of a potential settlement, Vance noted that such issues could be discussed during the negotiation process, but this is not currently part of the US administration’s plans.

“I've seen some reports about this, but I don't know where they came from. […] It doesn't seem to me like something Iran would be particularly interested in, and I know the president isn't particularly interested in it either. But who knows – I will not make any preliminary commitments regarding any element of the negotiations,” Vance said.
