I will run for president of Poland 2050

“I decided to run for president of Poland 2050. If I gain your trust, we will go to the elections as an independent formation. We only have a democratic government because we gave Poles a choice in 2023. We are part of the October 15 Coalition – because that's what we promised people. And Poland 2050 keeps its word,” wrote Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.

The politician emphasized that she has been associated with the movement from its very beginning. As she emphasized, Poland 2050 brings together people “committed, responsible, looking to the future”, and its motto for years has been: “development and the future, not retaliation and the past”.. She also declared that the formation wants to avoid the logic of conflict, does not seek to point out enemies or “look for scapegoats in the name of the race to see who will arouse more fear.”

Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's three goals for the Poland 2050 party
In her announcement, Pełczyńska-Nałęcz indicated three key tasks that – as she argues – Poland 2050 faces today.
Firstly: strengthening the movement and appreciating its social base.
Secondly: re-presenting clearly to Poles why Poland 2050 exists and what values it represents.
Thirdly: preparing the group to run independently in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
“I want to carry out these tasks boldly, with the faith that populism and the brown wave are not inevitable,” she wrote.
Minister of Funds experience in politics and campaigns
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz recalled that for years she had led the party's program teams, and in 2023 she played a key role in the election campaign of the Poland 2050 coalition and PSL. The joint project then won over 14 percent votesensuring significant representation in the Sejm.

She is a sociologist and political scientist by education, considered one of the most experienced Polish experts on eastern policy. Internal elections in Poland 2050 will be held in January 2025. Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's candidacy is one of three candidates submitted so far. They announced their willingness to run earlier Ryszard Petru and Joanna Mucha.
