“My kids have been sleeping in the hallway and closet for a month.” Margarita Simonian, Putin's propagandist, terrorized by the Ukrainian attacks on Moscow

Following the Ukrainian airstrikes on Moscow, Kremlin propagandist Margarita Simonian admitted live on Russian television that her children have been sleeping in the hallway and in the closet for more than a month.

For Russian propaganda, this represents a dramatic shift in rhetoric: the war, presented for years as distant and controllable, has now entered the lives of Moscow's elite.

Simonian spoke about this on Vladimir Solovyov's show on Russia 1:

“The drones are flying. It's unpleasant, it's scary. My children have been sleeping in the hallway and in the closet for a month. Ukraine can't wait for the people here to start rioting and for us to start, well, how should I say, disintegrate into groups… They're counting on the fact that they can create a civil war between us here.”Simonian said.

This statement came in the context of one of Ukraine's biggest attacks on Moscow and the Moscow region, Dialog reports

Simonian tried to portray the attacks as an attempt by Ukraine to intimidate the Russians.

Senator Oleg Morozov, on the same show, admitted that the attacks have become “closer to each of us” and “more massive”.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday described the attacks on the Moscow region as a response to Russia's prolongation of the war and attacks on Ukrainian cities. He said that Russia must end the war.

In general, the Russian press covers up the information about the large-scale attack on Moscow. During the attacks, an oil refinery, enterprises of the military-industrial complex and Sheremetyevo airport were damaged.
