In the Krasnoyarsk Territory since the beginning of the year, more than 127 thousand residents have undergone reproductive health examinations. This was reported by the Ministry of Health in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

More than 61 thousand women and about 66 thousand men had their reproductive health checked. In total, more than half a million residents of the region have undergone medical examination since the beginning of the year. Among men, those aged 18 to 34 years old are most actively tested. In this age group, 29,268 people underwent medical examination. Among women, residents aged 40 to 49 years are more often examined. Reproductive health testing takes place in two stages. Men are asked to fill out a questionnaire and undergo an examination by a urologist or surgeon of the appropriate specialization. If the doctor detects abnormalities, the patient is referred for an in-depth examination.

“When collecting anamnesis from men, past illnesses, working conditions and lifestyle, even allergic reactions are taken into account. This allows us to identify potential threats at the initial stage, when the disease develops covertly,” said Olga Markina, acting chief physician of the Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention.

Reproductive screening is especially recommended for couples who are planning a pregnancy. The examination helps to timely identify diseases that can affect conception and the course of pregnancy.

Residents of the region from 18 to 49 years of age can undergo testing free of charge in clinics and antenatal clinics at their place of attachment. You can sign up through the State Services portal or at the registration desk. You need to have your passport and compulsory medical insurance policy with you.
