Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez has accused the United States of fabricating a “fraudulent case” to justify a potential military invasion of the island country. He wrote about this on May 17 in X.
This is how the head of the country's Foreign Ministry responded to information from Axios, which, citing US intelligence data, reported that the Cuban authorities recently began discussing plans to use more than 300 purchased drones to attack US military targets.
“Without any legitimate justification, the US government is day after day creating a false dossier to justify its ruthless economic war against the Cuban people and likely military aggression,” Rodriguez wrote.
According to him, Cuba “does not threaten or desire war.” The Foreign Minister emphasized that his country “defends peace and prepares to repel external aggression, exercising the right to legitimate self-defense recognized by the UN Charter.”
