
An unextinguished cigarette is the cause of a fire in a two-story building in Balashikha. Previously, one of the victims fell asleep with an unextinguished cigarette butt in bed.
According to Mash, citizens of the Russian Federation lived in the burnt entrance; there were no visitors from Central Asia there. According to locals, the house on Keramicheskaya Street was called a “den of alcoholics.” Five people died in the fire – one man and four women. Everyone suffered carbon monoxide poisoning.
Investigators and criminologists from the Moscow Region Investigative Committee inspected the site and ordered forensic and fire-technical examinations.
