On May 14, the first stage of the preliminary party voting procedure—registration of candidates—was completed.
For two months, people wishing to become candidates from the United Russia party in elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, by-elections to the Achinsky, Yenisei district Councils of Deputies and the Krasnoyarsk City Council in single-mandate electoral district No. 11 could submit documents and become participants in the preliminary voting.
In total, 407 applications were received from candidates for different levels of elections, of which 338 applications for elections to the Legislative Assembly of the region in single-mandate, double-mandate districts and regional groups of the regional list, as well as 43 applications from candidates for elections to the State Duma in four single-mandate districts and according to the list. The oldest participant is 78 years old, the youngest is 21. There are 20 registered SVO participants, all of whom will try their hand at an election campaign for the first time.
Traditionally, men show greater interest in politics – 69% men, 31% women, 59% of participants have higher education, 18% are under 35 years old. The highest competition took place in the preliminary voting for elections to the regional parliament; the competition was 6 people per seat.
In total, 4.4 thousand candidates are participating in the preliminary voting of United Russia for the State Duma elections throughout Russia, the average competition is 11 people per seat. The main result of the application campaign is the high interest in it from participants in the special military operation, emphasized Secretary of the General Council Vladimir Yakushev:
“535 applications were received from special operation fighters. Such activity shows that people who have proven loyalty to the country at the front are ready to take responsibility in civilian life. For us, Heroes represent serious potential: such people have experience, integrity and the trust of society. This means they can strengthen the public administration system.”
Until May 29, registration of electors who will choose the winners of the preliminary vote will continue on the website pg.er.ru. The voting itself will take place from May 25 to May 31.
Let us note that at the moment, according to the federal organizing committee, more than 200 thousand residents of the region have registered as electors in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Let us remind you that on September 20, 2026, on a single voting day, elections of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will take place in 22 single-mandate and two dual-mandate constituencies. Also, 22 regional groups will be formed to vote on the United Russia list. Elections to the State Duma will be held on the same day. Residents of the region will have to elect deputies to the federal parliament in 4 single-mandate constituencies and according to the party list.
