“Since we are talking about money that comes from polluters in Romania, so we take money from certificates, from operators who work in Romania, invest in Romania, hire people in Romania and take, export this money, so to speak, maybe to China, for example, at the moment I don't know if it is necessarily a model with which we can say that it is the best possible model.

And then we thought: let's bring this money, let's multiply it and after we bring money, we spend and give so that we can have less harmful traffic for Romanians and a smaller environmental impact, but at the same time this money feels closer to Romania, can also have a multiplier effect for the people who invest for the factories, the operators who invest in Romania, create jobs in Romania or at least in Europe”. he stated this at TVR Info.

“Rabla is extremely important for Dacia”

According to the draft budget of the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM), launched in public debate, for the Rabla 2026 Program, intended for individuals, the sum of 300 million lei would be allocated and it will focus on cars produced and assembled in Europe.

Previously, Frank Marotte, Dacia's global sales director, warned that “the Romanian market is depressed because of the postponement of Rabla and because of the crisis we are facing in Romania”.

For his part, Mihai Bordeanu, country manager of Renault Group and general manager for South-Eastern Europe of the Dacia brand, said that Rabla represented a real incentive for the car industry in the face of the avalanche of second-hand imported cars.

“Rabla is extremely important for Dacia. And we have no idea if the program will be in 2026! Of course, then we are trying, not only us, but also you as journalists, and we have seen things in the newspapers.

You are doing the right thing because you are making the government wake up and I hope they do. Whatever the Government of tomorrow is, they will wake up and look at the industry and the car industry, because it was successful in Romania. And I don't think they want the success to stop. So the local market should also be important to them”said Mihai Bordeanu.
