Member of the General Council of the United Russia party, Hero of Russia Vladimir Saibel proposed including preliminary voting candidates in solving the problems of residents even before the start of the election campaign.
This initiative was approved by the Presidium of the General Council of the party, recommending that voters take requests from the website estrezult.rf. The party emphasized that the emphasis is on concrete assistance to people and the willingness of candidates to achieve results before the elections.
According to Vladimir Saibel, many of the issues raised by residents do not require major legislative changes and are resolved in a targeted manner:
“If we can help, we should help. People don't need a conversation about work, but the work itself. I ask all colleagues to take these recommendations as seriously as possible. Go to people. Take requests into your work. Achieve results. Best practices must become the party's common standard.”
Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Vladimir Yakushev supported his colleague and said that the request for solutions to everyday problems is a priority for Russians today:
“A lot of proposals that are being submitted to the People’s Program today do not require any major program solutions. We need to go and deal with the issues that concern people. This is the most important request – the request that people make to us, and we must answer it very clearly, objectively. Such “small” and “everyday” matters largely rest on the authority of the party and people’s trust in it, and therefore all the future victories of United Russia.”
United Russia remains the only party that regularly holds nationwide preliminary voting to select candidates at all levels, which allows citizens to independently form lists of elected officials.
