Krasnoyarsk residents were told where new street lighting will appear this year

The mayor's office announced a work plan to modernize lighting in Krasnoyarsk this season and called it one of the most ambitious in recent years.

The work will be carried out both in areas with multi-storey buildings and on private streets. So, lighting will be installed for the first time in the Krazovsky microdistrict — lights should appear in the area along the entrance from Severnoye Shosse Street, on Vechernyaya, Utrennyaya, Voskresnaya, Spokoynaya, Prostornaya streets, in Udobny, Cool, Lyubimy, Priusadny alleys, as well as in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th passages.

In the Sverdlovsk region Two streets in the private sector will become brighter: Roshchevaya and Proektnaya.

In Oktyabrsky district new lights will be installed on Kurganskaya, Nazarovskaya and Shushenskaya streets. Also, the missing section of lighting lines will be stretched along the road from Lesnaya to Udachnaya.

In addition, lighting networks are equipped along the square of the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk from Oktyabrskaya street to Molokovo. ​

Also aboutpores, nets and lanterns will be installed on the way to the kindergarten on the passage between houses on Mechnikov Street, 8 and Yakovleva Street, 57; and also on Glinka Street in the area of ​​two-story buildings No. 19a and 19b, not far from the clinic.

The administration explained that 23 sites for updating the power supply network were selected, including taking into account requests from citizens. Funds for implementation are allocated from the city budget.

In addition, new lighting will be installed in all public spaces where improvement is underway as part of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” – these are 7 parks, squares and embankments. Also, new lights will be installed as part of the transformation of the transverse streets of the city center: Dictatorship of the Proletariat, Surikov, Kirov and Kopylov.

“The need for lighting in Krasnoyarsk is still great. Work to update, modernize and restore such networks is carried out every year. Last season, for example, new lighting was installed in 16 areas, in seven squares and on three streets of the historical center. Every year, new lights are installed during the major repairs of roads and during the improvement of public gardens, parks and embankments, and the construction of new facilities – microdistricts, roads and interchanges. The work will continue,” the mayor’s office said.
